Pinot Noir

Being an Oregon native, it may come as no surprise that pinot noir is one of my favorite wines, but it's truly earned its place in my heart and my wine racks under the stairs...

Pinot noir is sexy and lush, warm and inviting. Think cherry pie, plum and the earthy warmth of a private library and you're stumbling around pinot noir turf. Pinot noirs tend to be lighter in color, letting gorgeous glowing reds shine through, and a distinctly lower volume of tannic noise means exciting flavors from beginning to end.

Supple bodied, with gorgeous colors and sultry flavors - pinot noir is a sensual, erotic evening with a Venetian spice merchant's daughter. Did I just say that?

Pinot noir is a tricky grape. It's sensitive to climate and soil and demanding during the wine making process. Unfortunately, that trickiness can push prices up, but this is not a wine to be skipped.

The Burgundy region of France, Oregon, California and New Zealand are the top producers of quality pinot noirs.
